Ask Mary Beth

Q. Does acupuncture hurt?
A. Many patients report that their experiences range from feeling almost nothing at all to a brief ache, or sensations of energetic activity near the needle. Many people who have been fearful of acupuncture also report being amazed and surprised by the pleasant experience of complete relaxation. The needles, being the width of a human hair, are the finest needles and only shallowly inserted into the body.

Welcome to Acupuncture of Reston! I am happy to be celebrating seven years with this family practice here in this delightful space in Reston, located just a few minutes from Reston Town Center and close by the many neighborhoods and clusters here in Reston. As a mother and a grandmother, I enjoy serving families of all ages. In addition to acupuncture, Chinese herbals are highly effective for keeping everyone in the family healthy. I love offering my highest conviction to families such as my own.

office-interiorIn this quiet setting, off of the busy thoroughfare of Wiehle Avenue, I have endeavored to create a haven where patients can be free to be open to healing on any level. Compassion, commitment, and competence are the hallmarks of my practice.

In addition, my patients have brought me into contact with other excellent health care providers to whom I am happy to refer you.

I also have colleagues that I know personally who practice from Maine to New Mexico and Alaska to Florida and everywhere in between. I can refer you to them in the event that you are traveling and require treatment, or to refer your loved ones and friends who live in other parts of the country.

Payment methods:

I accept checks, cash, credit cards, and direct debit from HSAs (health savings accounts) and FSAs (flex spending accounts).
