Mary Beth Gibbons, L.Ac. is a longtime resident of
Fairfax County. She discovered the power of this traditional medicine
when persistent symptoms of allergies and sinus infections in her own
family were resolved. What has her engaged and passionate about this
work is the self-discovery and awareness that allows each patient to
recover their own well-being.
She received her Master’s degree from the Traditional Acupuncture
Institute (TAI). She is also a diplomate of the National Commission for
Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and she has
participated in an item-writing event for the NCCAOM national exam. She
is a board member of the Acupuncture Society of Virginia. She has a
B.S.Ed. from the Ohio State University and an M.A. from Middlebury
College. In addition she is certified in the TOBACUFREE (TM) protocol
for smoking cessation, which is also effective in the treatment of other
addictions and cravings.
In treating patients with asthma and in supporting the Asthma Walk, she
contributes to the work of the American Lung Association. She also
treats athletes who participate in the Marine Corps Marathon, the Reston
Triathlon, and Reston’s Bike to Work Day.

"I offer a haven--a caring place where my patients can be free and
safe to open to healing on any level. The three Cs---compassion,
commitment, and competence--are the hallmark of my practice."
